Panretinal Photocoagulation

Panretinal photocoagulation is a procedure used to treat abnormally growing blood vessels in the retina of the eye using laser assistance. In particular, in diabetic retinopathy patients, these abnormal vessels can lead to leakage, swelling, and vision loss. Panretinal photocoagulation alleviates the effects of these damaged vessels and halts the progression of the disease by using laser light.
